The Little River branch Railway line operated from 1875-1967, providing farmers means to transport stock and produce to Market. The Little River railway trust formed in 2004 worked on turning the old tracks into a Rail Trail cycleway. A Total distance of 65km long which passes Lake Forsyth and before heading through Lincoln township and finishing in Christchurch City.

Mountain Road Cycles has rental bikes available for couples or small groups starting from $69 each or E-Bikes from $98 each, these prices are for self guiding. Two day Tour packages are available with pick up or drop off service.
